Welcome to this weeks edition of clothes I actually wore this week. Most of my days involve an office job, that I love, along with what feels like 1000 other things needing my attention, so we keep style choices simple, fun, functional and obtainable. We keep a healthy balance of more formal days (think dresses and skirts) and casual days (jeans and sandals). For reference, I am just an average short girl size wise, 5’ 1” tall, usually a medium/size 8, athletic build. And with no further adieu, let’s get to it.

Knit Overalls | Square Neck Bodysuit | Star Platform Sneakers
February 2
Texas finally started behaving, and the ice started melting enough to at least leave the house again. I do think it is safe to say I am a true Texan at this point, as evidence by my inability to deal with the cold! These extra cozy, thick jersey knit (think your favorite cozy sweatshirt) overalls were made for days like these! Want to know the best part about them? You just tie the straps and tuck in the extra, making them even #shortgirl friendly, no heels required. Paired them with a square neck ribbed long sleeve bodysuit and those go to gold star tennis shoes I love.

Similar Pink Sweater | Straight Cuff Ankle Jeans
February 3
Date night to see The Chosen season 3 finale on the big screen. I mean, it was Mr. Dobson’s big screen debut. He was one of the Roman soldiers you see a few times in the background. He has been known to jump in front of cameras, so I don’t know why it is still surprising to me that he is pursing the acting gigs. After, we snagged some Indian food and I was so distracted by the fun lit up snowflakes hanging everywhere. To be clear, they are the only kind of snowflakes I am really ok with. This fun pink sweater sure did pop under those bright white lights.

High Rise Straight Linen Pants | Stripe Half Zip Sweater | Rib Knit Tank | Kate Spade Sam Bag
February 5
I had the privilege of co-hosting a baby shower for some hockey friends getting ready to welcome a new little one into the world. It totally gave me a reason to revive my long dormant crafty side and whip up a Dallas Stars / Detroit Red Wings diaper Zamboni! You can see it in all it’s glory over here.
With the new addition being a boy, seemed only fitting to dress in blue. These fun linen blend high waist trousers paired perfectly with the ivory and blue stripe sweater. Perfect pairing as we transition into spring.

A-Line Stripe Dress | Classic Denim Jacket | Black Open Toe Booties |
Matte Black Apple Watch Band (ERINDOBSON will save you 10%)
February 6
I couldn’t wait for the hot summer days to pull out this striped a-line sun dress. With the multiple button options to adjust the shoulder strap length, it left this perfectly skimming the top of those open toe booties on my short self. The best part? the straps are wide enough you can wear normal undergarments without anything showing! Paired my classic denim jacket with this for today and day dreamed about sunshine and summertime!

Mod Squad Mini Dress | Over the Knee Suede Boots
February 7
Sometimes you just need to bring your own sunshine. This Mod Squad dress from Flying Tomato does just that! I can not say enough good things about this dress. It is so comfortable to wear and easy to move in. Has an elastic waist, elastic around the wrist and just enough ruffle at the bottom to give it some fun movement as you walk.

Photo Finish Mini Dress | Similar Boots
February 8
Another dress from Flying Tomato, this time with a little western feel. Y’all, their dresses might be my favorite, easy to wear, look put together and comfortable all at the same time find ever! I might be addicted. This fun ivory and rusty red print pairs great with the almost cowboy boots, boots. This one has more of a smocked cuff than yesterdays, and a sash at the waist.
